Do you really expect this game to have a high score ?

There are plenty of games that I have enjoyed that were sub 80 Meta, I wouldn’t give scores that much weight especially when you consider how bad many VG Journalists are these days.

For example in my personal opinion Ghosts of Tsushima is a much better game than Horizon Zero Dawn and yet it only scored an 83, High on Life was given a score of 67 despite the fact that it was a good game and had very fun combat, then you have Journos giving Stray a high score and was nominated for GOTY despite a handful of other indie games that were better.

My personal rating has always been.

• 7/10 = Good.
• 8/10 = Great.
• 9/10 = Amazing.
• 10/10 = Impossible (Kappa).

But yes, over the last gen and this gen, anything below an 8/10 somehow got a reputation of being trash and not worth considering, Lol.

Yeah, it mostly comes from Twitter console warriors and doesn't really have any merit.

Don't see why we should care about it, the hardcore know it's nonsense and the casual market don't give a shit about review scores, Lol.
