But 2 other Square Enix games were announced and releasing on Xbox, so the math says that's a surplus of 1 Square Enix on Xbox at least

Lol fr though, not sure what the deal is with SaGa. Not the first of those recent SaGa remasters to even get a mobile release either.

Imo, I think this new Ubisoft thing is a way for Ubisoft to sell off/shut down everything in Ubisoft Core (Anno, Brothers in Arms, The Crew, Just Dance, Prince of Persia, Rabbids, Rayman, Trials, Watch Dogs and their respective studios) whilst protecting everything in Ubisoft Sub (Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy Franchises) until Ubisoft Core eventually just becomes a holding company (like Zenimax is to Bethesda Game Studios) so Yves has basically put Ubisoft's biggest IPs on a lifeboat and is going to sink the ship or they still sell off the whole of Ubisoft Core in one swoop whilst keeping Ubisoft's biggest IPs to themselves.

And he will still maintain control over Ubisoft's biggest IPs, Tencent as a 25% investor but Ubisoft (Yves) owns the other 75% and despite Tencent's investment it doesn't appear it comes with any control so they're purely in it for the $ and not interested in managing to removing Yves, if I'm right then it'll be thousands of layoffs, multiple studio closures and selling off all the IP I listed above aside from the main 3. Basically created this sub to protect their biggest IPs and teams, while getting to pick and choose in the future what other IPs and teams they want to take with them on the lifeboat or what other IPs and teams they want to shed.

This new sub division is worth more than the actual core Ubisoft...

Completed Yakuza 8 (minus DLC tho). I had fun but the island stuff annoyed me but the bigger minigames always have been a hit or miss.

They actually were announced last year with platforms so... seems more like a net negative to me.

There's still tons of games SE is withholding from xbox, quite a few would make nice game pass additions.
