If it wasn't for the day one first party games and some select 3rd party ones, I would've cancelled Game Pass a couple of months ago (which I can't since I redeemed it for three years).
It's nothing but indie games lately and usually not the biggest ones either. Where's Kena? Stray? etc. Where are the AA-AAA games that reviewed well but didn't sell a whole lot? One Piece Odyssey, Layers of Fear remake, Company of Heroes 3, Marvel's Midnight Suns, plenty of SE games, Destroy All Humans 2, New Tales from the Borderlands etc.

Still got 4 months left but I'm very unsure if I'm going to continue subscribing...

I've been feeling the same which is why I started to keep count, game pass waves have dropped quite a bit in the last few months IMO, if you're not looking forward to the big first party game there isn't much. There's still a lot of games that skipped xbox that would make for great game pass additions

Immortal Pillars expansion for AoM is great fun! The campaign is pretty short. Like 2-3 hours for reasonably experienced RTS players, but god damn do the new myth units, especially the dragons, feel incredible to play!

$20 for just the expansion when the base game is $30 is CRAZY and some straight BS pricing. Just get the Premium Edition that’s $50 that will let you get both this expansion and the second one whenever that releases.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

If Gears E-Day is 2026, along with Fable, along with Forza Horizon, then we're already at Gears/Forza/Fable!

C'mon Halo Studios! Get a Halo out in 2026!

It's funny how they're linked even more than just the Halo/Gears/Fable meme as well.

1. They're all appealing to a bit of nostalgia, all being OG Xbox core franchises; Halo might be doing a remake of the 1st entry in the series, Gears is a prequel designed to be more like the originals, Fable is a straight up reboot of an IP long dead.

2. They're all angling to be fresh starts for their franchises; Halo is moving to an entirely new engine, Fable is being rebooted, Gears is returning to the original tone. Alongside that "fresh start" angle, they're all under new leadership; This will be the first Halo release under Pierre's leadership, Fable is obviously under an entirely different developer, Gears E-Day is the first release under Mike Crump's leadership.

I do not believe Halo CE Remake if it even exists has a chance of releasing in 2026 unfortunately, I would maybe guess late 2027 but it really depends how much of a "remake" it may be, again, if it even exists, Lol. Straight up remake of Halo CE but in Unreal Engine 5 would obviously be a shorter development but a Remake with a number of changes would obviously take longer.

But It'd be fun to see them release within say, a year of each other.

But my hot take is that a Halo CE Remake isn't needed and they should just move onto the sequel to Halo Infinite but I won't turn down more Halo and I know a lot of Halo diehards had a lot of issues with Halo CEA...The only thing I could see is that they're using it as an "easier" testbed for Halo in Unreal Engine, it would be more for getting a handle on the new engine before applying it to a completely new entry, in a similar way to how The Coalition remastered Gears of War 1 before doing Gears of War 4 but that was more to get the team up to grips with the IP itself.

But I feel like unless it's a straight up copy of Halo CE except in Unreal Engine, Halo fans will complain about any changes. If it's only a straight up copy though, the only reason for playing it would be to see how Unreal Engine feels and looks for Halo...I've already replayed Halo CE and A a thousand times, I can replay it on Halo MCC, but I'm a Halo cuck and would replay a remake too a thousand times.
