Parris

I talk about this in the Kinda Funny review but the complaints about combat difficulty comes down to trying to speed run to the finish vs doing what the game is telling you to do with the difficulty skill check and that is SLOW DOWN explore, discover new things, go on a treasure hunt, craft the resources you need, get the $$$ you need for merchants by completing bounties, etc

I rolled credits at 52 hours and easily could have played another 20

Avowed is an RPG masterpiece. ❤️

#Avowed is one of my favorite games this year. Fun, nimble combat combined with compelling story crafting in a beautiful world. Excited to jump back in for more @obsidian.net goodness.

I think I'll start Avowed tomorrow because starting it at 6pm feels a bit pointless, Lol. I'll spend probably 30 minutes creating a character and getting to grips then heading off it. Also it was a terrible idea to start a Ubisoft game before, Lmao. Still not done with Immortals. But I'm excited to get into Avowed after reading all the impressions, a solid start for Carrie. Seems Obsidian has another great director in its ranks.

Really looking forward to diving into Avowed. Won't be able to play until the games official launch next week, but congrats to Carrie on a solid directorial debut. It is funny seeing majority giving the game a lot of praise. Rolling Stone saying it's Obsidian's best game yet, then the handful where the game just didn't resonate with for whatever reason. I'll find out for myself soon enough though!

Finishing up Ninja Gaiden 2 Black beforehand. What an insanely fun throwback to a much more straightforward time in gaming! Makes me miss Itagaki-era Team Ninja.

Until Game Pass is brought to Steam, I feel like this is a good middle ground to have.

Even more impressive is that she took it over from someone else, Chris Parker was the original director, then went through a reboot, changed it from a multiplayer focused RPG to a fully single player focused RPG. This is a solid start for her director career, an Avowed 2 can easily iron out some of these complaints whilst having a much smoother development plan from start to finish.

Ubisoft has signalled its expectations for Assassin's Creed Shadows in its latest quarterly financial results, in which it describes pre-orders for the game as "solid".

While the company did not divulge exact pre-order numbers, it said they were "in line with those of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, the second most succesful entry of the franchise".

Good shit, I'm looking forward to it, Ubisoft needs a win, Yves can still fuck off.

Here's our Avowed tech review - an impressive, polished showing overall from Obsidian on all systems. John heads up the coverage, with an assist from Alex on the PC version: youtu.be/YAyhpRHKhXk
