I have a bad feeling stalker 2 will be a complete stutter fest like a lot of unreal engine games. Hope I'm wrong.

I'm not worried :) Looked great in the previews. I will be playing on PC mostly (RTX4090) but I'm sure the performance Series X will be great!

Jez Corden talking about Fable:

  • "It looks fucking fantastic"
  • You can tell it has CDPR Witcher DNA since they picked up a bunch of developers from them, but emphasizes it's not a 1 to 1 comparison
  • Melee combat with pirouettes, dodge rolling, hack and slash into an execution, "looks super polished and good"
  • Mixing in with different weapon types, pulling out a bow and arrow, casting spells (lifting up enemies and slamming them, which may be what was shown in the June showcase)
  • It was the same character we've seen in the trailers, but reiterates he's heard you will select a character, just not sure if it's character creation or if it's pick between male/female
  • His hype went up considerably from what he saw, similar to how felt from when he saw early footage of Avowed
  • Combat looks tight, saw a variety of weapons including a giant mallet swinging to hit multiple enemies at once
  • Werewolf scene luring it out of its lair by cooking something (maybe full english breakfast?)
  • Giant chicken enemy

I can't wait to see gameplay😃

I thought witcher 3 combat was lackluster at best not that Elder scrolls is better but can't really say that Fable battlesystem was so bad that they need to change it

If they are emulated a WRPG combat system it would be more Kingdoms of Amalur. That game has a pretty good one.

It absolutely was lackluster. Worst part of the game tbh. Pretty much the case in 9/10 WRPGs though lol. Hopefully a decade later though Playground will have a lot more refinement in that aspect. Jez is reporting the combat is really good, although idk what his thoughts are on Witcher 3's combat.

I imagine we'll see a full gameplay reveal at the now expected January Developer Direct.

My only problem with Witchers combat is that the signs make it very easy. Like extremely easy

Fable combat has never been challenging to begin with. The Witcher combat is considerable harder than Fable. They will probably go with a sweet spot between Witcher and Fable, which is ideal imo.

4090? Damn. Well, we will find out tomorrow.
