That’s something else that’s insanely confusing! Is Sony thinking we’re in the year 2013 and the Wii U is clearly struggling or something? The last thing Sony wants is to be on the opposite side of Nintendo’s legal team

I'd love to see Nintendo comment on this Tbh but I don't think they will because they firstly likely don't give a shit, I mean, Nintendo benefits from this slightly because there's more chance of CoD on Switch under Xbox but they don't need CoD so it's like meh and secondly, I doubt the CMA have even asked Nintendo's opinion on this matter considering they don't even seem to understand what Nintendo does.

Damn it I forgot about that Nintendo is apparently busy making Wii Fit still in 2022 lol. Silly me.

Tbf, if Sony stopped forcing their Devs to make everything a slow paced third person action adventure then maybe ... Just maybe, they would have some FPS games.

Or really any other type of games besides Action-Adventure lol. Other than the outliers such as Sackboy and Gran Turismo, you’re not really going to find much else in terms of variety. My favorite genres are FPS, RPG, and Strategy. None of these genres are being made by Sony. And Horizon is not an RPG by any stretch of the imagination.

Sony’s games are specifically made to target the broadest gaming audience possible. There is no in between to try to broaden the medium.

If the deal somehow gets blocked then I wonder how Activision relationship with Sony will be after the CoD marketing deal expires, the board will 100% be pissed off that they cost them a massive payday and will likely not engage to renew the deal.

The latest gaming news section of VGChartz should be…….lively today lol

Sony has Bungie now, one of the best FPS developers of all time, who are currently running one of the most popular FPS of all time, do something with that if they're so concerned and then make the next Bungie title exclusive to PlayStation. Bring back Killzone and release it in a year without CoD since CoD is moving to a 2-year release schedule now, which gives other companies a chance to grow their FPS franchises.

All this panic over one dang IP. Sony will still have plenty of FPS choices, including CoD which will remain multiplatform, plenty of M-Rated titles like CoD to appeal to those same audiences, a domination in the Action-Adventure genre which is proving to be very popular looking at the sales of God of War, Last of Us, Horizon, etc. And an opportunity to create their own set of FPS franchises, all whilst CoD will remain multiplatform and go onto a 2-year schedule, Lol.

If your entire business relies on one single IP then that's on you (we know it doesn't though, Sony will be fine without CoD and likely still outsell Xbox, Lol). Xbox was already known as the "Shooter-Box" once before and that was when competition was at its peak and all 3 companies were doing amazing.

Just a tiny bit. There are a lot of pages for me to go through between Sony's and Microsoft's responses.

Sony is definitely not doing themselves or their consumers any good at this point. For every action/ equal opposite reaction/ karma, what goes around comes around, ect. ect..

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

Don't think it matters, I think Microsoft will outbid Sony either way if this deal doesn't go through and likely go back to engaging in large scale moneyhat practices again.

I'd not be surprised if the industry at large is getting a little sick of it too, Hoeg made a point that Microsoft probably doesn't want this going to court because "industry secrets" will be forced to be revealed on all sides, I'd guess likely 3rd parties will be dragged in too.

Jim Ryan is gonna destroy himself and others if someone sane at sony doesn't want Jim Ryan to expose their own past aswell and how Sony gotten in that position in first place getting under Nintendo and Sega thunder in 5th generation. And EA killig other dead space developer.
