"Eat My Shit, You Nazi Bitch!"
Slava Ukraini.
But Goddamn we're dodging bullets, I love my French brothers and sisters for coming through but America is the BIGGEST bullet to dodge by far and the difference between Ukraine winning and Ukraine losing, one bullet left to dodge and then Ukraine should be good for a few years in terms of support from the big guys.
God I'm begging Americans to do the right thing but right now I'm not confident.

NFP's official stance FWIW is continued Ukraine arm deliveries but also interestingly putting peacekeepers in Ukraine's nuclear power stations.
Great thread. Soviets used to keep absolutely massive forces on the border with China. Starting from 2022, Russia has been moving everything west, stripping the Far East naked. So, the Russian-Chinese border is getting effectively demilitarised, for the first time in >50 years. https://t.co/QdnajBpoQ4

China must be drooling at the thought.

As long as people are sane, the fascist parties never end up victorious. In America, the MAGA party lost support over the years, he already lost an election, people should have no confidence in a loser like that.

MAGA is not a party. Today, in the USA, the Republican party is divided into 2 factions: Reagan Republicans vs. MAGA Republicans.

The tanks models in general are also getting older. They ran out of T-90 and have only about 25% of T-80 left. More than half of the T-72B are also gone already, meaning Russia needs to use more and more their age-old tank models like the T-62 (the model of which Russia still has the highest reserves, having lost just over a third of the reserves) and T-54/55, of which they still have over 200 in storage. The T-72A meanwhile constitutes the bulk of the tanks considered barely worth recovering and will probably for the most part only used for parts and the like, while Russia is reluctant to use their T-64 in Ukraine, probably because that model is the Ukrainian MBT and could easily provoke some heavy friendly-fire, so they're not in widespread use. This explains why Russia still has around 90% of pre-war stocks on both models - it's just not worth for Russia to reactivate both types most of the cases. Long story short, Russia's Army is getting less and less mechanized, to the point that in 2 years, they might have entire divisions that are fighting entirely without mechanized vehicles - which will make any try to advance for them a suicide mission. Russia's devolving back to human wave tactics of early WW2 - without the manpower to sustain such tactics even in the short run. |
Great post and I think we all agree that time is running out. I wanted to add something, it looks like Russia is choosing to not use many of the t-72s, and the article made an educated guess that this is bc it's autoloader needs lots of maintenance or even small amounts rust will gum that up, which many probably haven't gotten. So, they are skipping over many instead of fielding them.
