Yeah, the nuke in space would be for use on satellites, not on Earth.

Lol no. For this you use small rockets. Price of nuke: tens of $Millions, price of rocket: less than $1000.

You do not explode a nuke in outer space, you either drop it onto an area, casing destruction or you exlode the nuke inside the upper atmosphere, trying to NEMP military defence objects (which, by now, people know how to protect against NEMPs).

See the post before yours and tell that America cause they're the ones who saying it is possibly for use on satellites

But you can explode a nuke in outer space, literally nothing stopping anyone from doing that from a technical standpoint but there's a reason there's an international treaty to not store nukes in outer space and Russia ain't going to use a bunch of dingy rockets to individually take down hundreds-thousands of satellites one at a time when they could theoretically do it in one swoop.

*Clarification, I don't believe Russia is going to do this, they haven't even put a nuke in space yet, the leak is that they're considering doing it.

But, it makes more sense for the nuke to be a small one, targeting say certain US satellites, like some in geosynchronous orbit - 22,300 miles high.

Russia would want to use a small nuke, to limit any collateral damage - they wouldn't want to take out their own satellites, much less those belonging to countries like China.

True, they definitely wouldn't want to fuck with China's satellites, I have my doubts if they'd care about taking down their own, Lmao.

But an attack on any NATO countries satellites would almost assuredly be an attack on said country, so Russia won't attack them, that being said, it's still against international treaties signed by most of the worlds countries not to put weapons of mass destruction into outer space and IF Russia violates that then it will likely cause that treaty to breakdown and cause a race to arm outer-space.

It's a big IF right now, it ain't something any sensible country wants though.

Should be noted how much more advanced the satellites Ukraine has access to versus Russia's own are as well, so it could just be posturing "stop using those satellites or we'll destroy them!" but in the end, they won't do shit. It's nothing to be concerned about right now, it's like the Americans are saying though, a possibly long term concern.

Three terms sure to grab attention: Russia, nuclear, anti-satellite weapon

Lol. Ain't this like the 3rd or 4th sacking of the Black Sea Fleet?

Sacking them ain't going to save your ships, Russia.

Jesus.

About time, I wonder if they're all aerial or any naval drones too.

1m by when I wonder though, better not be some shit like 1m by 2026.

Also, let Ukraine use them on Russian territory.
