Picard face palm etc.

It is indeed not nearly as bad on ps4 pro as compared to base ps4. And sure it is still playable on base ps4, but it is not a level of playability that console gaming normally stands for. Frequent crashes (for a console game) with frequent very low fps dips (for a console game) and many glitches next to unfinished code. This is what you put up with in early access on PC, still playable, still enjoyable. Not what you expect from a finished console game.

I know consoles want to be more like PCs (or rather their users do) but this kind of glitchy, buggy, unfinished mess doesn't belong on consoles. I'm sure some people will find this still enjoyable to play https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/tony-hawks-pro-skater-5 but it rightly got panned.

Facepalm right back at you etc.

He mentioned the PS4 Pro in his comment. But you are so quick to jump on that hate wagon as well, you couldn’t catch that part.

But hey, whatever  you and the pitchfork crowd say.

Have another one back at you.

Except it's not a lie. Here is PS4 running at 30 fps for a good long while in DF's video: https://youtu.be/C5pHpQqhmR4?t=498

The performance on base PS4 and XB1 really isn't that bad from what I've seen, mainly drops when driving around the city

PS4, not pro, check the video at that timestamp, PS4, not pro.

Nice try, but that’s not who I replied to, is it? Maybe you’re not sleeping too well lately or I don’t know. In my reply to CGW, I spoke by experience with the version I am currently playing, which CGW mentioned in his reply to Shikamaru. So if you have nothing to add to this, kindly get off my back and go facepalm yourself to sleep.

DF can't recommend it on any current gen system, and ps4 pro drops right to the low 20s here

Anyway have fun with the game, I'll wait.

Current PS4 meta is 47 based off of 4 reviews

I'm several hours in the game and its pretty amazing so far - playing on PC on a older mid range PC (GTX 1070, R7 1700 @ 1440P). Technical hitches and small bugs aside its a great game and very enjoyable. The story, characters and voice acting are all top notch and gameplay is pretty decent for CDRed's first attempt at an FPS RPG.

Think PS4 and Xbox One owners should avoid though. And others with PS5 and Series X should wait until the next gen patches.

The PS4 and Xbox One versions are hilariously bad. They should have delayed the console versions tbh.

Nah, next gen versions are fine. Outside of that weird issue with hard frame drops to zero happening twice in my first hour, I haven't had any issues at all on Series X playing in performance mode. Haven't even noticed that wonky frame rate DF touched on.

It doesnt really LOOK next gen on next gen consoles but it plays very well.

I've heard crashes occurring quite a bit even on next gen consoles. Ymmv, though its good that you're at least playing on the XSX.. Seems like its actually playable as opposed to base One and PS4 consoles.

For me, had minor glitches with enemies clipping very about two times, not had a single crash on PC.

Have you tried Quality mode? I found it to be the better mode, though I did use performance for the most part in the beginning.

I've yet to experience a crash on Series X.

A bug that effects my power sniper seems most prevalent. It just refuses to fire sometimes... Have to save the game and reload to fix the issue. Had a couple of freezes too but yet to have the game fully crash.
