Diablo 2 is still an awesome game after all these years....another sequel would suck so many hours of my life away...

As awesome as it would be for Diablo 3 to be announced, I highly HIGHLY doubt that Blizzard would announce it through a fan site. Unless there is a Blizzard conference that I don't know about that is coming up in 2 weeks.

This is from Diablo3.com's front page about what the announcement is not.
"Things the May 1 Announcement are not:
1. It is not an official announcement of Diablo 3
2. It is not about an upcoming Diablo novel
3. It is not a Network merge"

Also there is this
"We do have our own set of theories such as the Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals ending the same day Diablo II was released (June 29 2000) and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction expansion being released (June 29, 2001)."

Well, the big announcement was that Blizzard had acquired the Diablo3.com domain name. Hopefully this means they are planning to announce D3 this June at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational.
