It doesn't... it's not being published by Microsoft. It's being published by EA.

lol, I had forgot about that aspect. Good that it doesn't, I'd be rather upset if I saw it at the store with a 'Vista Only' sticker on it as well as 'Windows Live Enabled'.

Well have no fear about that. EA is publishing it, and it will run on XP. The (now free) downloadable content will be distributed through EA's own PC servers, which are pretty good.
This version of Mass Effect is better than the console version in every single way basically.

The DLC only costs £3.40 for the 360. But it's not worth it if you havn't fully explored everything on the disc already. It's a fairly fun mission though.
| IllegalPaladin said: In a way, it sort of justifies my stance of not really needing a 360, but rather just hanging out with friends who have one while I can buy a number of games that are also available on the PC should I want them. More content that's free on the PC is even better. Now, when is Halo 3 going to get ported, lol. |
When MS releases Vista 2 and it'll be required to play it for no sane reason.
OT: I sure hope my PC can play it. Valve is great about backwards compatibility but Bioware no-so-much. I can only barely play Jade Empire...
Cool. Looking forward to Mass Effect for the PC. I was briefly tempted to buy an XBox360 just for this game, but I think I can wait another month and a half.

The specs released seem fairly reasonable. Unless you're computer is pretty old, I'd think you'd be able to play it.

Well, after digging around on the website I finally found them. My PC is less than a year old, but it's a laptop and no, I don't have the necessary specs. I hate that. I understand I can't expect a laptop to have top graphics, but for developers to make games that require more graphical umph than what's currently being sold (PC or laptop) is just stupid. No wonder the industry is suffering.
