Forums - Gaming - Mario Strikers Charged grinds Nintendo's network to a halt

As far as I know, soccer is pretty much 300x more popular in Europe and other countries than USA. I guess when Madden or whatever dumb American football game comes online, our servers will crash here.
Nintendo doesn't want to just buy 30 super powered servers, only to have nobody buy the game. It's better bidness for them if they wait until they know how popular the game will be, and then buy the equipment that they need.
PS: Does anyone know if this happened with the Japanese release of that Pokemon game? Wasn't that online?

I think pokemon used the DS system.

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!

Around the Network

I think he means Pokemon Battle Revolution ;) I went online once and noticed no one online (checked in the afternoon, evening in Japan), so I don't think the game was so popular with playing online after all.
