Forums - Gaming - WW1 gaming anyone?

I feel that this subject in history is meant for gaming and is ripe with IP value.  To End All Wars is in development now--http://www.gamechemistry.com/products.php http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/948/948336.html --and I was wondering if anyone agreed on this issue.  I know WWII is pretty being milked for all its worth and I do not know if gamers would want to go back instead of forward--the "COD4 effect."  Thoughts?

trench warfare wouldn't work in a game.

Everyone I talked to doesnt want another ww2 cod shooter

I prefer ww1 over ww2.

I think the huge amount of WWII shooters has killed any hope for a WWI game to do well. I don't even know why people are still trying to make WWII shooters but at least we're not getting like 10 a year now.

Hum could be good. I think a brothers in arms wwI shooter could be very good :).

Read a few articles on WW1 planes, first tanks, gas warfare, epidemic of 1918, breaking of empires (Ottoman in particular), 1 mile+ artillery fortifications, machine gun invention, etc. Trench warfare is only a part of the story.

Trench fighting has already been done in WWII games but not in the abudance a WWI one game will have. Also they would have to be alot of melee attacks since when it got to close range fighting bayonets were still heavily used. I say it probably hit or miss gameplay wise but a breath of fresh air.

I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !

Crap vehicles, no colours, crap weaponry. Sounds fun

Seriously, the first half of the game will be killing rats. The great finale would be "Over the top" in which you have to march over to the over trench, without breaking the speed, and pattern of everyone else. Not dieing = bonus points.
