Forums - General - Has anyone here got videos to work on the Wii Photo Channel

In the Wii manual it says that the Photo Channel supports Motion JPEG and .mov video formats. The problem is, the .mov format does not work on the channel.

Because of this, I downloaded Wii Video 9 which converts videos into Motion JPEG so they can be played on the channel.

If anyone here has Wii Video 9, or knows of any way to get .mov videos to work, would you mind helping me out?

Thanks

i have Wii Video 9 and sometimes it works fine, but at other times it doesn't work when a video comes out the other end. When that happens i run it through windows movie maker and then convert it.

its stupid, its basically impossible to watch more than 40 mins of video on the wii unless u have like a 4gb SD card, baecause motion JPEG files are so large. i gave up in the end

Yeah, Nintendo really needs to throw their next update in that direction. I messed with my brothers Wii for at least 2 hours fiddling with the video support and its downright terrible.

It isn't really meant for watching full movies, otherwise it'd be the Video Channel. ;>

I think the idea was to watch those crappy 60 second video clips you take with digital cameras (and it worked perfectly that way for me) The photo channel is just a quick and dirty way of showing your holiday snaps, not really a multimedia centerpiece.
