when it comes to hardware few companies can match Sony, maybe Samsung.

When it comes to hardware Sony has been kinda lousy, my PS1's Middle spindle broke off after about 7 years, which i guess is a long time, but my Atari 2600 has been working for close to 30 years, so i have high standards.

My 1st PS2 however broke after a year, i got a game brand new that had some sort of defect , it sounded funny when being played, and it broke something in the drive so that i could only play DVD based games, not CD based ones, if i played a CD games the system would no longer spin it up.

Eh, maybe I'm just used to the extended lives of Old School systems, but considering i have owned 2 ps1's and 2 PS2's that's a 50% failure rate for me which kinda gets my shorts in a bunch.

Then most of you probably never worry about enviroment issues when leaving a high power using console on all day long, or don't worry a thing about electrical bills? I never leave a console on 24h, even if I leave the room for more than a half an hour I mostly turn the PS3 "off". Make sure I've saved the game somewhere and turn it off but don't leave it on and let it eat power for nothing.

Its a possibility but PS3's have been tested running in a Sauna and theyve been perfect...

You could leave it on, by why waste the power? That could be used to buy more games!!!!
