Forums - Gaming - The Sega Dreamcast Appreciation Thread

I still own my dreamcast and I still play it every once in a while. Does one here have love for the ill-fated DC?

My favorite developer is Capcom because that company made freakin everything for Dreamcast when it was around. I think a good 40% of all my DC games are Capcom.

I also owned all the 2K sports titles on DC too. The NFL and NBA 2K series were better than the EA offerings, IMO (though I liked EA's baseball game better than WSB 2K)

I really loved my DC.
But it was also a cool looking console.

Marvel v. Capcom 2 is my favorite fighter ever. Yes, I love it even more than Smash Bros. And the only copy that won't cost you an arm and a leg is on the DC, so I'll always have the system around just for that one game.

Oh, and also Soul Calibur, Power Stone 2, and Worms Armageddon. The DC is a kick-ass party game system.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Don't forget Chu Chu Rocket. Quirky, yet awesome party game.

I also loved Space Channel 5, which, in the words of my friend, is the "dancing alien game"

I actually have a 'real' arcade just next to my appartment,
so I was playing Crazy Taxi at home and then beating times at the arcade.. :P

we also had Virtua Tennis, Daytona USA and Virtua Stricker in the arcade.

Tennis and Striker are gone, but we still get new SEGA arcades here
we also just got Mario Kart 2 arcade.. don't really like it though..

but anyway,
I gave my DC to my cousins,
at least they also experienced the Dreamcast this way..

SEGA had the best games ever made on the DC. SEGA games killed Nini games.

Love Dreamcast.

If only it had DVD playback and EA support, it might have lasted a little longer.
