It's not in the hands of Take 2 now, it's in the hands of their shareholders. Read this VGC news post:

If the shareholders don't accept EA's proposal, then T2 may have a word to say... Otherwise, T2 can't stop it.

 Sure.  It was already on the GBC and GBA.  It is only a matter of time before it comes to the DS.  Or maybe the reason it hasn't is because the GB and GBA never had any even somewhat close competition and GTA games (outside of Japan) tend to be the main thing that sells on the PSP.

 i think it was a joke or something.however im not affraid about that,im sure that the next gta will be release for ps3 or the next playstation because EA is now for its multiplatform games,im just affraid about the quality off the next gta

If this goes threw then this will suck for R*, expect many 'micro-transactions' because this is the perfect game for that shit.

Can you imagine EA introducing paid prostiutes/strippers in the game? It would rock the world harder than the Hot Coffee debacle did.
