Thats right we have been over this many times... besides Sony will start hypeing games for 2012 soon... at least if they keep the hype machine going the way they have lately...

don't know don't care, mainly because it will be another century before gt5 and ff13 fget released for us to find out

Actually, I'm pretty sure we might have discussed this before....or was it about the Wii's big guns? Well anyway, after the HUGE hype machine broke down for Lair, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, etc., what did the gamers do? Look for the next games of course.

After hyping MGS4, GT5, Killzone 2 and all the other games that are due for 2008, where some of them deserved the hype while others become lackluster, its time for 2009's lineup.

Why not just enjoy the games that are coming up, and just feel excited about the games that are coming within a couple of weeks from now, instead of hyping up games that are months, or years away from releasing?

Well, there hasn't been an official thread, but many threads degenerate into this topic of discussion.

I'm pretty sure there are gonna be other exclusives announced for the PS3. You can't honestly believe that Sony would just leave gamers with nothing else, do you? They'd destroy the PS3 and take themselves out of the console fight (well, possibly).

It will be business as usual. They will continue to split multiplatform games with the 360, and they will announce a lineup of future exclusives that they aren't talking much about right now because they want people to be excited for MGS4, Resistance 2, etc...

The 360 isn't dead this year, despite releasing a ton of huge games last year, and the PS3 won't be dead next year despite releasing a ton of huge games this year.

What happens after MGS4, GT5 and FFXIII?

Well there's still all the stuff people are hyping in this thread. Overall I think developer support is going to be moving away from the PS3, but Sony has enough first party, and dedicated second/third party developers to keep their console alive at least as well as Nintendo did with the Gamecube. Probably slightly better, because Sony doesn't have to make a profit with their gaming division at all.
