Okay, this thread has finally descended into pointless nation-attacking.

If you can't keep it civil, I'll be more than happy to lock the thread and start handing out bans.

Rocket, who is that directed at, 'casue I meant my posts to be civil and level-headed. I apologize if they were taken in any other way.

The Atheist's Wager "It is better to live your life as if there are no
Gods, and try to make the world a better place for your
being in it. If there is no God, you have lost nothing
and will be remembered fondly by those you left behind.
If there is a benevolent God, He will judge you on your
merits and not just on whether or not you believed in Him."

It wasn't directed at anyone in particular. It's just a warning to keep things nice in this thread or I'll lock it. This thread is quickly showing signs of spiraling into a shitfest of nationalism.

There are some good and some bad, but overall the best country for me.
I only lived in South Korea and the U.S. so I can't judge the U.S. to rest of the world.

i think a lot of people view americans through their government system and not americans as individuals just like everybody else

I'm american, and in like any other soceity there are both good, and bad people. To judge somebody by there country of origin you are making a generalization that isn't good, and  should rather judge somebody by their actions.

You don't realise how lucky you are to live in the freest country in the world and seem to be happy to let the federal government chip away at those freedoms. The Free State Project makes me wish I could move to the US but sadly your immigration laws are so tough that people can pretty much only move there illegally.

the thing I'm sure of Americans aren't aliens lol so what about us ?

Not all of us are happy about it. Mostly the mouth-breathers seem to think it's okay. Unfortunately, they seem to represent the majority of late.

mouth-breathers? I've never heard that before. I'm guessing it refers to fat ignorant people who are unable to breathe through their noses?

When I read blatant attacks on another's culture, it honestly makes me sick. I'm American and if others point out some of the obvious problems our country has I can't help but wondering- why does it concern them? If an American loses his house due to the mortgage crisis, does someone in Canada pay for it? No. If you cared because you wanted to show sympathy then that's one thing but rubbing it in the person's face with aggression shows they are simply trying to compensate for something, perhaps insecurities about the land they live. To me it doesn't make sense because the chances are if you are posting in this forum you live in a great country. Just Remember, which at times can be tough for me as well, that you are a representation of the country you live in, but just because one person from a certain land is an idiot, it doesn't mean they all are. So have an open mind, don't be condescending (humility is more important than one would think) and make peace with those around you. (Unless it's Starcraft talking about how much the PS3 sucks...jk)
