Forums - Gaming - Worried about possibly too much gameplay in MGS4.

Too much gameplay? Would you rather have long cutscenes with 30 seconds of gameplay in between each one?
20 minutes of gameplay inbetween 20 minutes of cutcene would be fine like MGS2.

I hope it's a 70-30 split.

I could deal with 60-40 also.

I love Kojima's cutscenes though. He is a god.

The reason why the games got increasingly more gameplay is because MGS2 was critizised for having too many cutscenes considering the game's genre
Well that just sucks. I mean it's a stealth game, not a fast paced action game that needs quick button action.

What does the pace of the game have to do with the ratio of gameplay to cutscenes?

This is an incredibly stupid...ah never mind. One thing I NEVER worry about in videogames is that there will be too much videogame in my videogame. I buy it so I can play it.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

This thread had to have been started as a deliberate attempt to fuel an argument about cutscenes.

I'm certain it was bod, and while I managed to resist the temptation to dive headlong into it, I still felt the need to point out that I never worry about getting too much game playing in my videogame.

Argument about cutscenes? My post isn't argumentative, I'm pointing out that I was disappointed in MGS3 among many other things because of the extended gameplay sections. I thought MGS1 and 1 were perfect in this regard . MGS3 just didn't feel like a real movie compared to the first two and that is a quality I greatly value in my video games.

I don't know about you guys, but from the first sentence I sensed a whole lot of sarcasm. The first paragraph sounded pretty sarcastic to me, but the second one left me unsure. I still think it's a joke. If it's not, it should be.

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.

Billy has 69 posts, almost all of them entirely about MGS2, and cutscenes in the MGS series. It's getting to the point where I wonder if it's become a clever joke account.

I'm a huge MGS fan, and given that MGS games have become the only series I play these past years there isn't anything else for me to post about.
