I would agree that Fallout 3 is recieving almost no hype from the general PS3/X360/PC crowd here. Yes, I never played the greatness of FO1/2 when they came out (I can still remember almost picking it up new, when it came out).
So I think it could live upto the hype, since there seems to be none.
And since everyone thinks BK3 will crash & burn, I think it'll do very well too...Atleast compared to the hype (Rare has a 66% succuess record when it comes to X360 games. Time for another hit).

Fallout 3 starts with you coming out of your mother's womb, how can such a game not deliver?
Also the collector's edition is a monster.

well I checked on the series, and the last couple games in it bombed horribly and were ridiculed. (fallout)

Ridiculed by who exactly? They were niche games of high quality and critical acclaim.
If a game isn't a huge seller doesn't mean it's crappy.

Fallout: Tactics was released in early 2001 to mixed reviews. Although it was given high scores by reviewers (PC Gamer gave it an 85%[5]), many fans were disappointed by the game. Fallout Tactics focuses on tactical combat rather than role-playing; the new combat system included different modes, stances, and modifiers, but the player had no dialogue options.
