I beat the demo in about 15 mins, will the full game take more than a couple of hours? The game seems much easier than RS, which is really hard.
From what I've heard, yes. Everyone on NeoGAF certainly loves Ikaruga over Radiant Silvergun.
I can't remember how long the Ikaruga demo is..How many chapters do you get?

I don't know if they changed anything on the XBLA version, but you should definitely buy this game if it is the same as the GC version. It is one of the hardest games in existence.

I would get it since you beat the demo less than 15 minutes and on top of that it seems to fit your gaming style.
And you get achievements. I'm not to interested in 2D shooters anymore so I wouldn't want to give a review, but judging your post. It fits your bill awesome :)

It's the GC Version + extras: Leaderboards, Online 2 Player Co-Op, HD Graphics, but the same content.
However, as far as my understanding is, it does have better translation, and a few other things added to the content, but the levels are the same, as far as I know.

I really have never been a 2D shooter fan (which ponders the question why I have Thunder Force V and Radiant Silvergun). I purchased the GC version of Ikaruga, could not stay alive for more than a minute, and realized that there were better things to do with $38 (even if it is devalued US dollars).

Fortunately now, Ikaruga is $10 on the Arcade. Even less if you find a good deal on point cards.

It's a crime not to, one of the best games I've ever played and I'm not hardcore into shoot em ups, but this game is godly. Also it kicks my ass mercilessly (never played the DC/GC versions which doesn't help).
