Just look at what people are calling it. SO desperate these days....

BBROD?

Blu Ray Ring of Death?

Searches for "Red".......

Fails to find......

Conclusion, moneybags trolling is just getting lazy.

BRROD?

Blu-ray ring of death?

 Searches for "ring" on ps3.....

Fails to find.....

Conclusion, BRROD doesn't even exist.

Tell me that was a joke?

I mean it doesn't have that many good exclusives right now, but surely you didn't throw a $400+ machine into water?

If you have that kind of spare cash, I want your job.

Funny, I could have sworn that Blu-Ray's were the same shape as CD's and DVD's.  You know, ring-shaped?

I must have been thinking of some other next-gen video format, like HD DVD.  Wait........

The Blu-Ray Ring of Death.

Y'know, if I didn't like you so much starcraft, I might have gotten angry comparing the PS3's error message to the RRoD.

But since this is not as widespread as the RRoD *cough* 30% failure rate *cough*, then it's probably a few isolated incidents.

I think a better nickname would be the 'Code of Death', or 'Death Code', or in 1337-speek, the 'Boosolit'.

Also, you can still do other things on the PS3 when you get this, just not play games. You are able to surf the internet, fold, play PSN games, watch movies (on your hard drive/comp), view photos, and listen to music. Unlike the RRoD, which reneders your XBOX 360 useless, the Boosolit is only about the BD Drive. At least that's what I've heard.

Are you kidding?  An RRoD'd 360 is the greatest night-light in history.

Also, can the people in this thread that seem to be attributing the brilliant "BRROD" title to me please actually click on the links?

I promise you, I'm not that intelligent.

This poor bloke lost the ability to play games DMeisterJ. But he didn't mention an error code, so it mightn't have been BRROD!

If it's something different, I promise we can call his problem the "Boosolit."
