When so many people are saying it that live all over the states compared to one person saying it in australia you got to weigh the "anecdotal" evidence.

anyway this thread is about Europe bundles. we got on this subject because starcraft was speculating AGAIN on a continent he doesn't even live on.

I give no more weight to starcrafts anecdotal evidence than I do to yours. What appears to be the case, and what is actually happening tend to be very different. As I said, I don't believe them for a second on the whole shortage buisness, but they are the only source of hard data around. You can claim they are lying, but at the end of the day the people defending Microsoft will always have a stronger case. The closest to hard evidence that will ever come out to prove Microsoft wrong will come in the NPD data for March.

There we go. He said what I was saying in a far more succinct way.  Neither of us can conclusively prove there were or were not shortages over a given period of time.  However, I can offer a far wider range of far more meaningful and substantial evidence than you can.

starcraft, you're putting words into this reps mouth. he never once said the complete version is on 360 only. what, do you think it will get to 80% of the game and then cut off on the ps3 version? or 360 owners have to wait 4 months to complete the game?

i think it's clear that he said you get the complete experience. this is coming directly from what you quoted. the complete experience doesn't mean the same as the complete version. example?

gh3 on ps3 and 360 offer the complete experience because they offer dlc, but the wii and ps2 versions don't, but they still have the same complete version of the game.

i'm not trying to flame you in any way, shape or form, but i think you're going to far by saying the ps3 version is incomplete.

I'm struggling to understand the distinction (or difference in value, for that matter) of having the complete experience from a game vs the complete version of a game.  Please help me to understand how you can have a complete version but be unable to have the complete experience, or why someone would consider having a complete version that provides less than the complete experience to be as good as a version that provides the complete experience.

Not to put words into your mouth, but are you saying that the PS3 version will have a complete storyline while the 360 version will have a storyline that is enhanced or extended in some way?

im just going to lock this as its a retail bundle not an official one like the PS3 and StarCraft embarrassed himself again with his "PS3 version is incomplete" argument.

I think thats exactly right.  It's quite hard to argue that GTAIV has the potential to have as good a version or as good an experience on the PS3 as on the 360 after the Rockstar spokesperson's comments.

Oh you mean the comments that completely sounded shaky and unsure exactly what he was saying? The comments that sounded like he was rolling his eyes while saying them?

Yeah those comments didnt convice me the dlc is special.... man 2 weeks left and we still havent heard anything about this dlc...

Thankyou ssj12.

Now, we can continue the discussion. Personally, I believe that unofficial 360 bundles will be just as effective as official PS3 bundles if, and only if, Microsoft pushes for and funds substantial in-store advertising promoting the lower price and more complete "experience" when the DLC is included.

Sure we have.  We were told in the beginning that it is episodic (meaning STORY ADVANCEMENTS) and then we were later told to think of them like we think of San Andreas and Vice City.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

the release date for this bundle is May 2nd. (or 2 months ago)

Due for release on 02/05/2008

also episodic doesnt mean they'll be based on the main story. They can be side stories (missions) and they said that its an expansion and then compared them to VC and SA (comming from MS)
