WOW!

I am stoked. For less than an Xbox360 arcade, my friend got a system that eats it alive.

Its also SO quiet. HDD is noiser than the system! LOL :)

Hes got an upgrade path to the new 45nm Phenoms if he wants more power and hes got the ability to fit pretty much any 6 pin card on the market.

Why didn't you get a B3 revision Phenom with the TLB fix?

Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.

If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.

It was cheap, and TLB doesn't effect home users anyway. It is a bug that really only effects servers.

Also, why buy a Phenom period?

It pales in comparison to many older Intel C2Ds, such as the 6750.(The 9500)

It was over $100 cheaper than the closest intel and price was critical. Also they perform about the same in 3ds studio - which was the main objective. In games the phenom performs adequately and the computer prbbably has an upgrade path to the 45nm phenom processors whilst the 775 pin intel is going to be phased out sooner. :)
