Forums - General - Mcdonalds or Burger King

Last summer, I stopped at a McDonalds on road trip in the middle of nowhere and my friend and I ordered and began talking.  We talked for maybe a couple minutes before getting our food and when we did get it we got a suprise.

Because we had apparently taken too long to serve, they had super-sized his order of fries, given me a free side of fries, and upgraded my small drink to a medium drink.  Not only that but all the food was hot and fresh.

I can quite honestly say I've never had such good food at McDonalds or such good fast-food service anywhere.  My only regret is that I have no idea where we were or where that one amazing McDonalds was.

I'm tempted to believe that we must have slipped into an alternate dimension where McDonalds service is epic beyond belief.

I'm currently reading Fastfoot nation. Everybody needs to read this thorough and well researched book. Even if you think fast food is delicious, there's plenty of reason to avoid it like the plague.

I've read it, and some of what he talked about was really disturbing. I definitely eat at fast food places a lot less now. The only thing that bothered me was the blatant bias.

McDonalds

I prefer the extra large double bacon cheesburger in burger king, and their fries are more often than not far crispier and fresher than mcdonalds.

I don't think McDonalds have the variety burger king does and there 'Big Mac' is a joke, such a small burger which is really 2 small hamburgers on top of each other.

The price of the burgers at either of these places is a rip off when you actually look at what you're buying, a roll, a small portion of salad and 1 or 2 burgers so thin you could use them as frizbees!

I'll bet each one of their larger burgers makes them 1000% profit

In the UK I prefer Wimpy

http://www.wimpy.uk.com/

You also get proper plates and cutlery instead of a cardboard box that has been produced in a factory, transported to the store, had a burger or fries in it for 10 seconds before being thrown in the garbage!!

 When I visited Canada I loved Popeye's.
