what if canada became part of usa.

No way in hell that i would let that happen without a fight.   I would be forced to move to great Britain, australia, or france if it actually did happen.

Puerto Rico may have a chance to become a state.
Well......they aren't really ready for it yet. (I'm 1/2 Puerto Rican by the way)

Well, to be fair, I don't think most of the current states are ready for it either.

I think the US should take over Turkey and make that the 51st state.

www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=14965 Just an article I snagged to make my words a little more meaningful. It's been talked about for a long time now and even Senator Ron Paul brought this up early on in the Republican debates. It's real, and I do not want this to happen. Hell, it's been a dream to leave the US and move up to Canada, enjoy their universal health care, their loose laws on marijuana and lower crime rates. If this union happens, I don't see things staying the same there.

All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be.

The Canadians would have no urge to merge with the USA from what I know of the Canadians. They are more than happy governing themselves.

Neither the Americans or the Canadians would want to merge with Mexico, for one thing it would be an economic disaster for them.

While some Americans may enjoy the idea of absorbing Canada into the states it will never happen.

Canada will NEVER become a US state. Hell we are still a part of the Britsh Commonwealth, and theirs no way in hell that Quebec would join the US, their happy enough trying to find their own independance (vive le Quebec libre). Canada and the US are drifting apart on several major issues that really highlight the differences between the two countries. A reason that the US would like to make a union would be Canada's stronger economy and vast natural resources (Alberta bitumen and North West passage.) Although the Canadian people would Never go for this union, we have fought for our independance (especially here in Franco-Ontario) ever since we had to share this country and to give it up just for convenience is like giving a wool sweater to one of Satan's minions. He dosen't need it, he dosen't want it and he sure as hell is better off without it.

Maybe Quebec will become a separate country and the rest of Canada will just do what comes natural....
