Forums - Gaming - I have this problem when playing online

ok. i have my ps3 hooked up to my wireless router via wireless connection. i also have my router connected to my comp directly, and my dads computer wireless in the basement. but the problem is, whenever i go online on my ps3 (this used to happen with wired connecterd 360 as well) and my brother is on youtube or msn on my main royter hooked up comp, it lags like hell on my ps3 and my dads computer downstairs.

im thinking of buying another router. on thats stronger. my guess is that youtube videos msn etc are using to much bandwith or w/e .

i just want to know b4 i buy it, will this fix the connection? or do i need a faster internet connection, because the one i have rite now is 1 mbps or something of that sort.

Around the Network

It is probably a combination of your internet connection speed and your router if your router isn't particularly good. Streaming videos can really eat a lot of bandwidth sometimes. Do you have the same kinds of problems when people are downloading at fast speeds?

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
