Forums - Sales Discussion - Amazon U.S. November bestsellers and general Amazon-based discussion

Well, considering XBO is moving down the charts, even without competition from PS4, I'm going to guess Cyber Monday isn't going to be as big as BF this year. At least for consoles.

ps4 just got a 255$ battlefront bundle, that should start selling.

The Xbox One S was close, but not enough to reach the 1st Place in the Chart.

The PS4 was the only console to taste gold!

You need more competition stateside. Amazon has too large a say. I realize a couple of stores have a small online space, but it's ultimately not good for competition.

I know taxes work different all around the country. In the UK Amazon was king. Then almost every other online retailer had better deals and grew. Then all the retail stores started offering good home delivery too. It has resulted in Amazon being the last place to shop for games and consoles. In a country with such a good business pedigree, I'm amazed nobody else has muscled into the game. The UK deals are much better in comparison because of this.

Doesn't matter when X1S has pulled ahead in the monthlies.

slow and steady wins the race.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

I have to question Amazon in honesty. They consistently take in much more Xbox stock, to the extent it's often still available a year later. While taking in too little PS4 stock for the last 3 months. The numbers obviously don't lie, that they have stocked more of an item that has sold less 12 months out of 12 and has had a sale period 4 days shorter.

Quite baffling how amateur their buyers are. I bet the same thing happens in December too. Not to have deals and availability of things for cyber Monday is also a joke, considering it being a mainly online sales day.

Was there no PR this year, that I've missed? I'm sure we have usually had tweets by now from MS and Nintendo, with Sony's coming at PSX.

I don't think that's it: Sony just said that they had their best BF ever, and they started their PS4 sale days in advance of BF.

It really could be as simple as the demand far exceeded anyone's expectations; I mean...they sold out of a week-long deal in 3 days.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
