Forums - Sony - I Just finished Persona 4 Golden and I'm Not Happy.

I Just finished Persona 4 Golden this week, and I'm not very happy how they handled the end.  It's not the ending itself.   I was able to witness two of the endings including the next to the best one. I just had no idea I had up to Feb the 5th (or around that) to complete my Social Links.  And I didn't know from Valentine's day until the 20th of March I wasn't allowed to work on them either.  Plus, I don't have a saved game far back enough to make it worth it.  I just don't know if I can afford the time to play through this game again to complete all I wanted to before beating it.

They should at least allow you to carry on experience, levels, items, habilities and all personas (as supposed to just carry on personas and habilities). That way, multiple playthroughs would be a cakewalk, so you can just get all the content left easily. Chrono Trigger did that ages ago, no idea why this isn't standard.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

The new game + it gives you pretty good regardless, you can just make an awesome persona from compendium and u already have your endgame equipment and social stats..

To be fair, second play through is meant for that, as all your social stats carry over, making the task of maxing out everyone a lot easier, and you get access to a secret boss when you reach the end of the game again.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Bruh, P4 is the best persona, how are you not happy?

But yeah, maxing Social links is very hard, but thats kinda the point in my opinion

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Yes, but why not allowing me to cary on everything regardless? Even if I have to pick up a lower dificulty setting to do so. There is no real reason to not allowing that, and it would allow people to complete all the story related content in a heartbeat, without having to worrying about grinding.

Well you can put the difficulty way down to make enemies super weak and you earn experience and money super fast, plus you'll have a bunch of really high level Personas right from the start and end game equipment available too. So there's no worrying about having to grind whatsoever

Then you clearly haven't seen me play any JRPG. :P

2/3 of my time in them is grinding, to just breeze through the rest of the game afterwards. That's why i love well done New Game+, it saves me lots of time.

So you'd spend 2/3 of your time grinding when you're so OP right from the start that you can blitz through the game easily without grinding for even a second anyways?

I dont think OP is realizing what we are saying.

No. I would grind only during the first playthrough, then i could just play multiple New Game + to breeze through the character and story bits. I don't eant to gring every new playthroug, that kills the replayability of any game.

You can easily breeze through the game in NG+ without grinding.
