1 in 1000??? jesus step out into the world for a second. You can just see its more common than that. I think the 1 in 10 statistic might have included men who weren't officially out of the closet. ( I can't cite a source because it was something we were told in my human sexuality class when I was in college)

Not even 1% of the canadian population (men) is gay.

1 in 10 sounds a little high, are you sure it isn't 1 in 10 have had a homosexual "experience" (kissing or something) rather than actually being gay... although I would have thought 1 in 10 is too low for that.

I'm sure somewhere out there is a more accurate study on the percentage. Its probably not that hard to tell whether someone (especially a guy) is turned on by others of the same sex, whether they will say they are homosexual or not.

Also there are supposedly less lesbians than gay dudes, so an overall statistic would be lower than one of just men alone. Don't fret, many women are willing to go bi just for the sake of attention... and because of getting fed up with men.
