What an obscene size, but shall be standard one day.

And NBA 2k50 will have 300TB Save file sizes.

I wouldn't doubt it.

Photo modes are pretty cool, and Shadow Warrior 2 has a pretty nice one.

This screenshot:
30720 X 17280 (32k)
530,841,600 pixels (~ 530.8MP)
To put that into perspective 4k is around 8.3MP.

Why only 30720 X 17280?

Doesn't SW2 support 63360 x 35640?

My 63360 x 35640 screenshot is 770 MB sized as JPEG and would be 30.8 GB as uncompressed BMP.

Impressive, yet the image detail isn't even good enough for this cropped down version... Angular detail and flat textures everywhere. Or can you see the individual leaves in full detail at 64k.

Is it overkill? Let's see, max detail the human eye can perceive or rather notice at being more detailed is between 150 and 200 pixels per degree.  (found by blind test letting people compare pictures and choosing which feels better, above 150 to 200 it becomes pure guess work)  So 200 * 360, 72000 pixels for full 360 view of the world in a VR helmet. Nope you're not there yet! That times 2 plus 180 degrees up and down, 72000x36000x2, 16 bit color, x6, 29GB uncompressed. (Not sure how you get to 30.8 GB for your screenshot, that would be 117 bits per pixel or 39 bits per color)

For fun, without foveated rendering, human vision is about 150 degree per eye horizontally, 100 degrees vertically. At max possible detail 200 pixels per degree,  30000x20000x2x6 = 6.7 GB per frame. With higher resolutions you need higher framerates. The human eye can still perceive fast detail upto 300 fps, tested with fighter pilots. Since we're not all fighter pilots, let's stick to 240fps as upper limit. 1608 GB/s or 12,864 Gbps, that's 268 HDMI 2.1 cables (max 48 Gbps)

Finally someone said something.

Dunno what everyone had issues with. I just opened the 380MB image with the normal picture viewer in Windows 10. Loaded the image in like 4 seconds. Maybe I'm just better at opening pictures than everybody else.

The game can be run at a locked 8k30 on my system (almost at max settings).
I guess we are not far off having a single card system that can deliver a playable 8k experience.

Well i finally downloaded it. now i am not sure if it got damaged in the download process but that isn't really that impressive. perhaps a crap scene. Perhaps my monitor resolution I don't know it jsut don't look right

What are you using to view the image.
I recommend using GIMP.

Can't wait to play some games in 32k on my massive 120 inch screen... I'll be the most popular guy at my retirement home.
