Forums - Gaming - Nioh: Complete Edition launches digitally November 7, physically December 7 in Japan

This was one of those rare games, a game that I'm interested in, looks really good, is loved by most players, and has great reviews, that I skipped buying due to sound reasoning: I have a huge backlog. It will save some money. Well, Team Ninja, Sony, Koei Tecmo, you've all screwed me! You've screwed me again! I'll almost certainly be buying this now.

Each DLC seems to add at least a couple of new maps, a new weapon class, and some new summons. Should take at least a few hours to get through just the main story missions of each DLC.

So that's a no? DLC isn't worth it unless it's something like The Shivering Isles, or Blood and Wine.

Nioh's Season Pass contains 3 different DLC's and costs 25 euros/dollars and while it might not be as beefy as BaW was it certainly packs enough content for that price. If you liked the game I would really recommend getting it. If you still haven't purchased the game then it doesn't hurt if you get the complete package for less $ than when it came out!

I love this game, but is there even five hours of extra content with the DLC?

Each dlc adds about 4-5 hours. So all three would take around 12-15 hours.

I said each DLC adds a few more hours just for the main story, (and it also adds side quests, new difficulties, etc) and since there are three DLC you'll probably get at least 10-15 hrs I would wager.

As for your evaluation of DLC value, are you not including cost in the equation? That would be one of the primary factors.
Nioh Season Pass is $25. If you bought the Deluxe Edition, it was $20 extra.
So that's $6 - $8 per DLC expansion.
I consider it good value DLC.

Ok thanks for clarifying. I already own the game, but this sounds like a good price for DLC. A lot of games these days just don't do DLC right. Just look at BotW charging a season pass for an extra dungeon, and a few cosmetic goodies. But anyway, I really liked Nioh when I played it early this year. My only complaint was the RNG with the loot dropping, but that's a personal preference. The combination of Dark Souls and Ninja Gaiden got me hooked. It looks like the season pass is still available, so that's good.
