Forums - Gaming - Any Let's Players Here? Advice For Someone Wanting To Start?

If you start a series, play it all the way through, before starting a new one.
Also lets plays without commentary at the very least, can be pretty boreing.

Yeah, I have a problem with not finishing them I started Spider-Man (PS2) in 2010, Minority Report: Everybody Runs in 2011, Hulk in 2011(?) and Spider-Man (PS1) in 2014, and haven't finished any of them. As for me, I actually vastly prefer watching non-commentary playthroughs over let's plays (I guess I enjoy Slowbeef, Diabetus, Chip Cheezum, Ironicus and Proton Jon though), but I do enjoy making them for some reason.

finishing games is probably the most important thing.
Also, once you get confident, maybe make a new channel and start posting on facebook.
Trust me, while you say you're not out for popularity, it gets boring if there's nobody to interact with.

Eh, I've had the same channel for over 9 and a half years, I don't really want to start over. And I guess I do have over 1000 subscribers, but one thing I like actually is that nobody really watches my videos, so I get a bit of freedom knowing that I am doing it purely out of entertainment.

OK guys, I bit the bullet!! I got an Elgato HD60S, along with a 4TB external hard drive. In addition to that, I also got a component to HDMI converter, so I can play PS1, PS2, GC, Wii and Xbox games!!

What's going to be your first game? Do you believe you're talented when it comes to playing games, in comparison to others who do the same?

I've thought about doing a Let's Play series as well, but then again, there are a lot of things that I think about doing, but then never actually commit to. I recently bought South Park: The Stick of Truth in a bargain bin, and that seems like a perfect game to Let's Play, assuming there aren't any copyright issues.
