I am pretty excited, although it has been a long break. Hopefully the series can live up to the hype.

Detroit won the first game by a score of 4 to 0

Yea, Detroit was all over them the whole game.
Hopefully the Pens rebound from this, otherwise it will be a very short series.
Very disappointing game 1........chalk it up to nervousness for the young guys (I hope that's true..........or this series will be over in a hurry).
So...this series has been disappointing.
I think the Pens should win in Pitsburgh, but I don't see how we can take a win in Detroit. Every chance we get is being gobbled up, and our defensemen are being skated past as if they're not even moving.
This was a much better game..........and the first time I saw more than 10 minutes of a game........hope Crosby and co. can keep this up.
This isn't exactly related, but I think we might as well keep it together:

"Vancouver Canucks defenceman Luc Bourdon has been killed in a motorcycle accident in northern New Brunswick. He was 21. Bourdon, a promising young defenceman who played his junior hockey with the Moncton Wildcats, Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and Val d'Or Foreurs of the QMJHL, split his first pro season in 2007-08 between Vancouver and the American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose".....
RIP Luc...
Yeah, that came as a shock to me...........I almost dropped what I was carrying at work when I heard it. Putting aside any hockey related thoughts, this was just a tragic thing. Only 21 years old..................my age. Really makes a guy think. RIP Luc.
