I don't think it did since they adjusted the Switch to 10.2 millions now.

And... again. Well PS4 is also at 10.2M as of Week 42 so it might still be the case.

You do realize how this launch aligned thing works for the PS4 vs NS right? Its actually a messed up anti-climatic thing.
The NS is guaranteed going to pass the PS4 within weeks 40-45. By weeks 60 or so, the PS4 will guaranteed pass the NS again.
Why? staggered holiday seasons. Both consoles never will have their respective holiday sales boost at the same time.

You have just given me an information I already knew, as I never suggested in my post that I didn't understand the concept of staggered launches.
What interests me is who gets to 15 million first.

I'm currently working on calendar alignment for all consoles, starting with their first full fiscal year (aka April). That should show a bit clearer picture in terms of seasonal sales. Because weekly alignments are always tricky, it might not be ready by the next update (which should come tomorrow, the latest), but I'll do my best.

if you wanna be specific more like week 53-60. that would be holiday 2014 for the PS4.
Wouldn't mean anything though.....

How would be 2 Christmas vs 1 more specific ? Switch was in shortage all year and no one is saying the first 6 months doesn't count cause it could have sold more. Anyway, Switch is outselling the PS4 during it's 2014 holiday season for now too.
