Bonus Edition includes "Sega / Atlus Pack" for Hero character.

Sonic Forces will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on November 7 in North America and Europe, Sega announced.

Starting today, users can pre-order the physical-only “Bonus Edition” (consoles only) for $39.99 USD / $54.99 CAD. Available for a limited time only, the Bonus Edition will contain a Sonic Forces controller skin and the “Sega / Atlus Pack” add-on, which offers 13 in-game outfit items and accessories to recreate the look of five other Sega / Atlus icons for your Hero character (including including Jet Set Radio, Persona 5, PuyoPuyo, Super Monkey Ball, and NiGHTS).

Well, I've seen some people who were reserved to jump on the game since they thought it would be 60$.

That 40$ price tag changed their mind faster than Sonic could run x) 

So, I guess you can get that and Mania for the price of a full retail game.

It's for the customizable character, not Sonic.  But yeah, no gloves is odd.
