Yeah that's my biggest issue with 4K gaming. I fear the idea that next gen games will be 4K we litterally could have 500 GB 4K games, fun downloading them :s.

lol I think 500gb games are still a ways off, but I very much expect to have my first ~150-200gb game in the few years... I suppose it depends on whether DLC, patches, and/or mods are included.

I know some games, like Halo 5, have already topped 100gb with patches included. Thankfully, even SSD of 1TB or larger are becoming more affordable, so hopefully we can keep up and avoid having to reinstall too often lol

Games like Halo 5 already passed the 100 GB if it was in 4K the size would end up way bigger. 'True' 4K movies also pass the 100GB.

Hm.. I guess my 500 € graphics card won't do it. Sad. Back to Battlefield 1 in 4k.

You can always buy a 400€ console to play it in "4k". The bargain!

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

They have published a statement yesterday that this is a misunderstanding and these are not the recommended requirements, it's just the hardware setup of their PC's on Gamescom.

Please correct the original post.

Thanks this makes my asumptions right, i never claimed those were the system requirements, i only claimed they were the recommended system requirements for 4K.

Square Enix introduces the game on systems with GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in 4K resolution at Gamescom. According to Tabatas, a GTX 1080 Ti would currently suffice just for 30 FPSs in this resolution. However, the minimum requirements should be set significantly lower.

I already played with that thought. But the xbox one X just doesn't have the games I care about. PS4 Pro would be more to my liking. But that 4k checkerboarding is not my case. I prefer real 4k.

I just reduce the shadow renderer and I hope that this will be enough.

Great my pc applies to the specs but still I will not play it since I have it on ps4, should have launched the pc version on release and I would have been all over it :(
