Im more hyped for Fallout 3 than any other game this year, I think.

You DO realize that Bethsada has already stated that the world of Fallout is going to be vastly more consequence-focused than Oblivion, right?

Well, that's certainly good news. I worship the Fallout series. It's going to be tough to fully convince me that Bethesda is the right developer for the job, though hearing it will be consequence-based and seeing it's a third person perspective give me some hope.

It really worried me when one of the producers said they weren't really a "humor" studio. Half of what made Fallout so great was its humor. Bethesda better loosen up if they want to keep the spirit of the franchise alive.

This picture is pretty underwhelming compared to some earlier ones I have seen. The game should still be just fine though.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I love Oblivion....I never played a Fallout game what is the difference between Fallout/Oblivion?

Fallout in modern time....Oblvion in medieval times?

Fallout takes place in the future after the world destroyed itself post-WWII. The first two games are two of the greatest WRPGs ever created. I highly suggest playing them.

Well Oblivion is good I will take you advice thanks :).

JUST REMEMBER!!! HOW BIGGER THE SIG, HOW SMALLER THE ****

@Rocket. Who else would you want to develop it?

I mean there are only really two major WRPG developers out there now aren't there? Bioware and Bethesda? And maybe Obsidian?

This picture reminds me of the movie "I AM LEGAND". I hope they make a game like that. I still wish they would show gameplay.

Dunno. I think BioWare might do a better job of keeping the franchise true to its roots.

All this Fallout talk has convinced me to reinstall Fallout 2. I might even go back to the original if I get motivated. I still have both discs.

Obsidian, several ex-Black Isle devs are currently there. And I think CDProjekt could do a better job than Bethesda since Fallout is more up their alley.

Didnt some of the Black Isle and Interplay devs end up at both Bioware and Obsidian? Either would be a better choice than Bethesda IMO. I've only played Morrowind and Oblivion and neither had a compelling enough storyline or Mythos to make me want to finish the game. Oblivion with guns would suck but I'm hopeful that Bethesda has at least listened some to the fanbase.

I replayed both Fallout 1 & 2 several months ago, not long after I found out they were making Fallout 3, and they both have held up extremly well although getting them to run correctly in vista was a bit of a pain. There are still a few boxed sets of 1&2 + the sucky Fallout Tactics floating around out there if anyone wants to give it a try. Gave $10 for mine. I just wish I could find a copy of Planescape Torment and Betrayal at Krondor for a reasonable price. Most want more than original retail 60ish for a used copy.

Glad to see the bloody mess perk in action.
