So I have yet to play more than a few hours of a couple of different KH games.. but I really want to play KH3 when it releases.. how do I approach this?

What games do I have to play? What platforms do I have to get. What games can I skip? Help a brother out...

All of the games are on PS4, HD Collection 1.5+2.5 and HD Collection 2.8. PS3 has 1.5 and 2.5 collections but not 2.8 afaik.

No idea which you can skip as I've never played them, going to play all of them when I finally get round to it though.

KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX would be best start curently on PS4, than you can play Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue if you want.

Never really understood these half measured games they do...

is 1.5 and 2.5 just remasters of 1 and 2 ? How about 2.8 then, What is that?

1.5 is Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories, 2.5 is Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, and 2.8 is Dream Drop Distance.

So on PS4 1.5+2.5 includes 4 games, 2.8 is just the one. They have extra cinematic stuff included.

1.5 and 2.5 include remasters of 1 and 2 as well as the handheld titles like 358/2(? i forget all the different names lol). It basically includes the side games

Well thanks all, that is splendid news. I thought the .5 games were separated from 1 and 2. Now I just need to find a good price on it. But then again, if I am not greedy 4 games in 1 is cheap..

Thanks all

The only ones you can really skip are RE Coded and 358 2 Days. Although, if you find yourself enjoying the series, I recommend you to take a look at them. At the very least, you'll find Days pretty interesting.

Also, some people say that Chain of Memories is skippable too. I don't think that way. I believe that game has some very important story elements to help you understand a lot of what's going on in KH II. And personally I think it has the best overall story.
