Update: It's likely EA was behind the actual editing of the video rather than Sony given that EA is in charge of all their own promotional materials for the games they publish. It's just as likely that nobody noticed the error at EA or Sony until the internet exploded.

My point still stands, however. While I understand that publishers typically use the best footage available (often PC) to promote their games, when you release platform-specific footage it's probably not a good idea to make it look as though it's being run on a different machine. In any case, both EA and Sony were involved with putting this video up one way or another.

Is it a huge deal? No. But given how misleading video game marketing can be, I think it's fair to point out when something like this happens. Just because publishers use misleading bullshots, unrealistic "in-game footage" and other questionable practices to sell games doesn't mean they should.

Despite the fact that I could sit here and gloat about this (especially with the hate I received after defending MS with the Watch Dogs video back in 2013 as a likely error), this was most likely an accident, and it will be fixed soon enough.
