Forums - Sony - So who pre-ordered MGS4 and got the Metal Gear Saga DVD already?

I just got mine today, and I have to say I was pretty pleased.  I was going to pass on picking one up, but I happened to be in the mall today with some spare time on my hands, and I figured why the hell not.

Not only does the DVD have a very interesting (and beautifully crafted) recap of some of the major characters and events in the history of MGS, it also has all of the trailers so far released for MGS4, some of which I hadn't seen before.  The cover art for the DVD is just plain beautiful by the way.  Its like a work of art.

Coupled with the fact that it comes with a Metal Gear Onine beta code, this is totally worth it, and I recommend it to everyone simply for the DVD even if you plan on cancelling your pre-order and buying it elsewhere (like me, I will be in a different city on June 12th).  The DVD is quite good and you won't regret going to your local Gamestop or wherever to get a copy.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.  Where did you preorder at?  You might be able to go back and get one.

I got mine from Gamestop in the states, and from what I have read people in Canada have been able to get these DVD's, so it wouldn't hurt to give them a call if you are interested.  Just bring your receipt or rely on their computer record of you having pre-ordered and you should probably be able to get one as long as they still have some.

I also got mine on Thursday. Later I had to back and get one for my older brother because he could not get out the house because his baby was acting up. I was not going to let the baby ruin the metal gear beta for him! HEHE. I love the dvd with and the way they created it. I wish the cover would have been the official game cover because I really liked it. We both will see you on the beta! I am just curious as to who the character is who does the narration on the dvd.
