Doesn't really look like the "dumbed down spinoff" version of Monster Hunter some people are claiming it is.

Where did you see 230k people? I watched the whole stream and it peaked at 105k, but average around 80k. This is not atypical for a monster hunter stream though. Usually they get around these numbers (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrcxAoySbdQ)

Here is a screen cap I took of the event when it ended. The number I believe is the final viewing number (or it could be how many ppl tuned in at some point)

 

Oh I read that as online. 

Seems odd that there would be 230k people watching it there, when the YouTube stream only had like 70k when it ended.
