Lol, yep.  And MAU.  MS is looking to inflate their numbers with PS and Nintendo gamers.

Gaming consoles aside, don't Sony and Microsoft work together in other aspects? It kinda seems like they'd have to. Both are so big and have their hands in so many things.

They can, they just need to pay certain amount of money to break the contract. They're not going to do that cause that would be stupid and a PR disaster.

Half the people "clamoring" for cross play don't actually want to play with people on PlayStation but are just using this topic as another excuse to shit on Sony. Do you really even want to play with PlayStation users personally? You seem so strongly biased against us. If VGC were representative of the Xbox fanbase, I know I sure as hell wouldn't want to encounter some of the more obnoxious toxic users such as yourself. 

The most hilarious parts about these topics though, is that Sony does allow cross plat play. They have for longer than Microsoft and have been more open to the idea in general. It literally seems that they're just saying no to anything that would involve Xbox which is completely valid from a business perspective, and a complete non factor for most consumers. Once again the vocal minority tries to blow things out of proportion. Paragon has cross play play, rocket league has cross play play with PC, FF14 has cross play play, SFV, you even list examples from the PS3 era. This isn't arrogance. What's arrogance is having a small install base but assuming you deserve the right to your main competitors over twice as large instal base. That's arrogant. How you're acting is arrogant. Pretending like Sony is completely against cross play is arrogant. There is almost every reason to deny Microsoft this when the benefits/pros would be so little for PlayStation users. 

Pretty much my semtiments as well, and although less comprehensively, I've posted as much in recent days. The impact on the PS user base of Sony not allowing cross play on a MS title, and as it sits right now it's one game, is non-existent. And on a personal level, the next time I sign into XBOX Live, I'd imagine I'll be bunking with the Ramirez brothers in hell.

Nintendo should just use Xbox live for all of their online stuff anyway. Nintendo is like a decade behind the competition in the online space...
