It depends on the New 2ds xl and Pokemon US/UM effect on 3DS family hardware sales!

Let's say that 3DS stays flat, so its LTD as of 2017 should be 2.4m.

PS4 has to sell 701k, 51k more than last year! So, essentially you must be right!

Regardless both ps4 and 3DS have done very well.  Ps3,  vita and Wii U did decent too.

Xbox One not so much.

For the little it lived... :(

i guess you want sales data for 7th gen in spain.

As of 2013...

DS 4.5m

wii 2.8m

PS3 2.5M

PSP 2.4M

XBOX 360 1.1M

XB1 looks to have a pretty big fall from 360 last gen.

It's good to see the market going back to where it used to be.

Also, I'm curious about what those Others are in the hardware sales. How many of those could be NES Mini?

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I keep hearing that xb1 is doing well, even better than 360 and I have to ask. Where? Definitely not in Japan or Spain. I suspect it's all the thanks to America and the UK.

Hardware Sales Figures = This year > 2016/15/14 is my prediction for spain :)

It all goes back to the Xbox 360 having manufacturing problems at launch (only 1.3m units could be shipped in November and December 2005) and then an extended lull (it sold through ~5.5m units in its first twelve months). The Xbox One had significantly more supply (over 3m units in November and December 2013) in its launch period and could properly capitalize on the anticipation, unlike the 360. That's how the Xbox One built an early lead that could be maintained despite sluggish sales, because the 360's baseline in 2006 was bad too.

By now, however, that lead should be gone. The 360 kept improving over the years while the XB1 is stuck in the same territory. The 360 managed to pull off multiple years of 10m+ in its life, the XB1 won't have a single one. I suppose a few Xbox fans keep repeating the same line because Microsoft's lack of reported shipments makes it impossible to tell how well the XB1 is doing, but that can only work for so long.

Interesting. Thanks a lot. Much appreciated (it's been bothering me for quite some time).

Very informative reply.
