It's never happened to me or anyone I know in real life, so I haven't seen it.

Never. I didnt get it with my first premium after 2 years.
Now ive got HDMI version instead and it works all fine. I know like 4 people (IRL) with 360 and nobody got the damn rrold. I like it that wat, but.. *Think positve thought* :O

My isn't very old (5 months or so), but no RROD for me.  My friend has a launch copy, and it's been fine as well.

Never seen RROD. Consoles made post July 2007 have improved significantly and RROD is being reduced.

I have never seen one RROD personally. I have heard the crying of people who have though lol.

I've only had my 360 since September of last year, but it's still going strong. I keep it well ventilated, and don't play system-taxing games in 10 hour blocks.

Horizontal or Vertical. How do you stand the system. Standing it horizontal is the safest option. I heard it does not scratch the game disks but do not know about reducing overheating of console. I bet having it on for over 8 hours could cause a possible meltdown unless you have replaced the fan cooling system.
