Forums - Gaming - More Double Dipping (Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen)

Nice. I still need to grab it on Steam been so busy with stuff always coming out. It's crazy how many games I have to play still.

My game of the year, whichever year it came out. It had that Breath of the Wild feel before I knew what that was. Hopefully they give it a graphical facelift and I'll buy it for the THIRD time!

*Edit* give me a Switch version!!

Whoa, that's high praise.

OK, now I'm definitely going to check it out :)

He's not exaggerating there; Dragon's Dogma certainly tried different things with its gameplay and as a result has a unique vibe added to it. It has issues in every department, for sure, but that only makes it a flawed gem of a videogame.

Just know that I've never played Skyrim or a Souls game. People say those games "do it better" but I don't know. I loved it.

There aren't any mounts to ride and, in the original version, fast travel was a chore. I still couldn't get enough of this game.

Thankfully Dark Arisen which is the default version nowadays fixes that last part. It gives you unlimited (for a price, that's it) Portcrystals, so you only need to do one travel (instead of having to do all the huge ass backtracking!). That being said, I also played the original version back in the day, and I couldn't get enough of it either.

What are you even doing with your life?

I watched a review of Bloodborne, once. Does that count?
