Forums - Sony - PS4 Pro Promotions Finally Begin

"Dynamic 4K"? I don't know if that's really an assuring statement. Anyways, I had thought that by promotion you meant sale, but it looks like Sony's going to hold on to the current price for now!

Nothing they're saying is a lie, but it does seem intentionally misleading to the vast majority of people who won't realize "Dynamic" 4k (a term they've pretty much created for themselves for marketing purposes) does not equate to true, native, constant-throughout 4k. They're counting on ignorance to convince people that it's a full 4k experience without having to lie about it lol

Of course, Sega was allowed to go around advertising "blast processing" to consumers lol, so this is small fries in comparison. Still, it's just deceptive enough to make me a tad uneasy about it... I have to think most people who watch this will think the PS4 Pro is a full fledged 4K console and will have little understanding of words like "native" or "dynamic". That, of course, is the goal, and it certainly seems a touch shady.

Hopefully most will be making their choice based on the games in the commercial and not the "4K" claims, which seems likely. Really, it's a marketing tactic that they all use from time to time.

Great to see. There was no need to promote before now. They were selling all they could produce without much promotion anyway.

Yes, because there were always supply bottlenecks in the big countries like usa and germany. Also in the UK and france often. I like the trailer :)

Still to today in many smaller markets especially in Asia there is still a Pro shortage.
