Polybius, the new game LLamasoft is out now.
It comes with a serious warning about epilepsy, for a good reason. It's 80's gaming on acid with some nice trance tunes to back up the visuals. It runs at native 120fps on both ps4 and the pro. 120fps provides silky smooth visuals yet there's a slight perceptible lag that made me feel a bit queasy while turning my head back and forth in the menu. I guess the headtracking input delay is noticeable since it doesn't use the normal 60fps -> 120fps correction. (Although I didn't notice it in Trackmania Turbo that also runs at 120fps on the pro) It doesn't matter in the game though as you're always looking forward. There's no noticeable lag in the controls.
This game is fast, 120fps almost doesn't seem enough to see what's going on at times. I tried to record some but it just turns into a mess at the default 30fps capture. This short review is at 60fps, looks a bit better. Still a far cry from how it looks in VR though, and he doesn't show the sections where it all goes crazy!

It also supports 3D displays and native 4K on the pro if you want to try it on a screen. I can hardly see what's happening in VR :) Apparently there are 50 levels, I got to lvl 6 so far. The review is right to mention losing track of the tiny ship, yet the camera moves with the ship in VR so it's just a matter of getting better at it.
Very nice little game, put a big grin on my face again due to sensory overload.
