To me it looks like Microsoft wants to defend its ground on Europe.
Frist Ninja Gaiden 2 gets an european release date 6 days before MGS4 (I assume that Microsoft will release it in Europe first, US later) and now this.

Couldn't anyone who wanted the PS3 version just import it? It is region free.
This is old news. They said a while back that Rock Band would hit the 360 first follow by the PS3 version. What has never been known is the exact date.
To be honest, why did they exactly signed for temporary exclusivity on Rockband? Why specifically this title?
rukusa -
A few reasons (I believe):
#1. Peter Moore now works for them.
#2. Microsoft has no title to combat Singstar (which sells very well in Europe)
#3. The Xbox 360 brand is losing relevance of exclusive titles in Europe (atleast IMO), and needs a big infusion of titles that'll do good in Europe.
I have a kid in my youth group from Switzerland that's a huge Singstar fan. She absolutely loves Rock Band, and I think RB will sell very well in Europe, even for the price.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

- understandable and I agree.
- Ahhh... I dont wanna say too much. But I think the price is pretty steep. Especially for software.

I believe MGS4 is released June 6th.
So it looks like Ninja Gaiden 2 will be released 3 days before the US.
I could be wrong though.
Well, to be fair, Europe has been getting screwed on pricing for years now, and Rock Band is no different...I think the price is insane, and should be atleast 20€ lower, but I'm not EA. EA has been screwing customers over for years. Atleast (it looks like) you might be getting wireless components for your version of Rockband.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
